Nutrition is a very important part of your treatment, as during chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and/or recovering from surgery, your body needs more energy and protein. The goal during treatment is to meet these increased needs and prevent weight loss.
Maintaining adequate nutrition and a stable weight assists with:
· Maintaining a healthy immune system
· Improved recovery
· Less chance of needing to go to hospital for malnutrition or dehydration
· Helping to maintain the correct dose for your chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment

If you are losing weight, try some of the advice listed and ask to see a dietitian for further advice if weight loss or poor appetite continues.
